I grew up along the shores of the Puget Sound (Salish Sea), near to Tacoma, Washington. Despite those famously cloudy skies I developed a love for stargazing very early on, even telling my pre-k teachers that I wanted to be an astrophysicist when I grew up. I think that young boy would be proud of me :-)
